I was nervous all day, I couldn’t sleep the night before, I tweeted every two minutes, I wanted everything to be documented.

Suddenly a Valentina threw a punch and her fist reached Mariela’s nose, “Stop!!” I said. they went to their corners, I checked up on Mariela, she’s alright, I thought she was going to call it, but she recovered and went to her corner to fight again.

“Sorry my love but I have to punish you for that”, I give one point to Mariela, Valentina is losing now, even when she was superior just for a bit.

Both are waiting in their corners, they seem so tired. “Fight!” Now they go timidly this time, they are hurt but wanting to destroy each other for good. They walk in circles for a couple of seconds and start the agressions again, punch after punch, hair on the floor. Valentina hits Mariela’s belly so hard that make her go down to the floor. I start the count: “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8…”. She can’t get up, so I ask her “Do you give?”, she breaths heavily and say “Yes, I give”.

Both girls go back to their corners, Mariela can’t recover and decides not to come back to the mat. I declare Valentina as the winner, her opponent couldn’t stand more punishment.
